About the role
This role involves providing specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately eight elementary students, primarily Kindergarten, with varying grade levels and individualized needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of elementary students with disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Support students in achieving academic and social goals within the classroom setting.
Requirements
- Active Ohio Intervention Specialist license is required.
- Previous experience working in special education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of early childhood special education and developmental milestones.
- Ability to manage a small caseload effectively and with sensitivity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
