The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.

• Provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients
• Assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care
• Directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control
• Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner
• Performs and fulfills all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy
• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP (if applicable)
