Machine Learning/Generative AI Engineering Manager - Maps Search Query Understanding

Apple is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Search Query Understanding team to help continue building best-in-class algorithms and solutions which help drive Search on Apple Maps

• Drive definitions and develop, evaluate and deploy multiple search features including Generative AI and LLMs
• Own details of projects and long-term vision for the team
• Collaborate optimally with partner/product teams to set the goals, expectations, and roadmaps for their teams
• Provide technical and career mentorship to your team to ensure their success
• Communicate technical details and dependencies to engineering partners, product management teams, and executives across Apple

• MS in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of progressive software engineering management experience
• Demonstrated success in leading and growing high-performing teams focused on information retrieval technologies
• Experience with distributed systems and services
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI, LLM, and machine learning applications at scale
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
