Vietnam Claims Manager
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the results of the Claims Operations for Vietnam.
- Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) service level improvement, expansion of services (as appropriate), and taking the lead in operational strategies and communication.
- Encourage and support a culture of continuous improvement and productive collaboration across the functions that enhance the customer service experience and outcomes.
- Support implementation of key strategies in alignment with global strategies and work closely with local teams and functional heads to ensure that agreed objectives and deliverables are clear and progress is tracked.
- Proactively engage with crises and provide early warning or potential solutions for issues that could block the reaching of strategic objectives and financial results.
- Monitor cross-functional collaboration efforts across the business including ensuring claims and customer operations actively support priorities within the wider business.
- Ensure local issues, both internal and external, are escalated as appropriate, and that remediation or other efforts are being tackled proactively.
- Represent AIG interests with key customer stakeholders (Brokers, Sponsors, Clients, Markets) and take responsibility for developing, delivering, and articulating the claims value proposition as well as being the escalation point to resolve issues & disputes in the country.
- Monitor the local competitive environment to identify business threats and opportunities and develop business plans to address them.
- Participate in relevant regional committees and manage and facilitate the resolution of requests, issues, and risks.
- Ensure Vietnam is operating within appropriate regulatory framework boundaries and protection of all licenses and agreements and escalate any issues as appropriate.
- Be the initial access point for all internal and external compliance or regulatory bodies and involve other functions/ individuals as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of local regulatory and legal issues that have the potential to impact AIG and provide updates and input to the LOBs to ensure that the strategies and processes are maintained in a compliant manner.
- Monitor the implementation of business plans at the country level, plus operational issues within the country, and escalate issues where appropriate (including CATs, and disaster recovery).
- Monitor the integration/interface of the business processes and the contribution of each business process to the regional performance goals.
- Review regional budgets across all impacted functional areas, provide regional-level inputs, and manage spending against deliverables and projects.
- Review resource model and efforts across all operational programs to optimize financial benefits within time, scope, resource, and quality constraints.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills – must be able to effectively communicate with senior leadership, external business partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Strong leadership skills to drive solutions and deliver results.
- Results-driven leader with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
- Strong understanding of claim handling structure, services, and capabilities
