About the role
Design, including research, and implement new open-source tools for audio processing, such as, compression or spatial audio rendering. Collaborate with engineers and product managers in the Open Media team, and with other teams within and outside Google.
Responsibilities
- Design, including research, and implement new open-source tools for audio processing, such as, compression or spatial audio rendering.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers in the Open Media team, and with other teams within and outside Google.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience in C++ with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with audio processing, and audio algorithms.
