About the role

McKesson Medical Surgical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Client Manager, to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships within an established Government contract portfolio consisting of SLED and Federal contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for all customer-related matters within your portfolio.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the targeted segments.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives.
  • Product and Service Promotion: Act as a subject matter expert on MMSGS’ product portfolio and service offerings.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to the portfolio, such as sales revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams, to ensure seamless execution of portfolio initiatives.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and developments related to the specific Government segment and healthcare procurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships within government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, SLED Cooperatives and GPOs, Federal agencies, and healthcare procurement processes.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, contract negotiation, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results.
