Software Engineer - HW Telemetry

The DC HWE Storage Tools Team is looking for a Software Engineer with passion for systems engineering and hardware telemetry

• Building backend agents in Python or Golang to collect hardware health data
• Designing and maintaining databases
• Developing APIs and web-based UIs (preferably in Django)
• Integrating solutions into CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
• Experience working with large datasets and asynchronous worker patterns is essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 5 years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in Python or Golang, with experience developing system agents
• Experience with Linux OS (and its tools such as BASH scripting, iostat, sudo, make, gcc, etc...) and hardware data collection tools (e.g., dmidecode, smartctl, nvme-cli) for storage telemetry
• Experience designing and managing SQL databases
• Ability to design RESTful APIs and backend logic to serve telemetry data
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git
