About the role
Responsible for continuous observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms displayed on the monitor screen of the telemetry console and for identifying and reporting cardiac arrhythmias/dysrhythmias. Communicates with courtesy and expediency when interacting with internal or external customers in person or on the telephone. Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in managing patient flow-i.e.: communicates with bed placement and nursing supervisors/CV Coordinators any system or telemetry related issues. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on practice when ordering supplies and complies with decisions made for staffing adjustments. Performs unit tasks supportive to patient care and operations of the department as assigned or requested, including EKGs and lead placement.

Requirements
- High School education or equivalent.
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
