Director, Financial Institutions Group (Fund Finance)

Capital One's Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director to join our growing Fund Finance team. This individual will be responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of subscription lines of credit and general partner lines of credit for middle-market and large asset managers, including private equity and private credit firms.

• Proactively identify and cultivate new fund finance opportunities with private equity and private credit firms
• Lead the origination and structuring of subscription lines of credit and general partner lines of credit
• Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and returns analysis on prospective clients and their funds
• Collaborate with internal partners, including credit, legal, and operations teams, to ensure seamless execution of transactions
• Manage the relationships for a portfolio of existing clients, providing exceptional service and identifying opportunities for cross-selling
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape in the fund finance space, including the development of securitization structures
• Represent Capital One at industry conferences and events to build brand awareness and expand professional networks
• Work and establish relationships with private equity and private credit communities

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 7 years of experience in commercial lending, with a focus on institutional clients
• At least 7 years of experience with financial statement analysis, credit analysis, and risk assessment
• At least 5 years of experience originating and closing lead-left or bilateral transactions
• At least 2 years of experience originating and closing lead-left or bilateral subscription line, fund finance transactions with middle market asset managers
