Join AWS as a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to architect and lead the development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware. Drive innovation in complex PCBA designs utilizing cutting-edge FPGA SoCs, working with world-class engineers in our dedicated product development lab in Arlington, VA. The candidate selected must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level. Upon start, the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

• Architect and lead development of complex PCBA designs incorporating FPGA SoCs
• Drive system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers
• Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits
• Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements
• Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements
• Lead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams
• Mentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 4+ years of experience in hardware development
• Experience with PCB design and high-speed digital circuits
• Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging
• Experience with manufacturing processes and DFM principles
