Certified Pharmacy Technician II

Performs a variety of tasks in support of the daily workflow of the pharmacy to include the appropriate distribution of medications in compliance with state and federal laws and in accordance with CSH policies and procedures.

• Preparing and dispensing prescribed medications for patients
• Performing compounding of intravenous medications
• Assisting in managing inventory
• Performing charging and crediting functions for medications associated with drug distribution processes
• Performing routine clerical/administrative tasks

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing
• 6 months experience compounding of IV medication
