Responsibilities
- Deliver coursework designed to meet the academic and social needs of Deaf / Hard of Hearing students
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Work closely with families to ensure effective communication and support
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation processes
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with educational standards and regulations
Requirements
- Certified Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing with experience in K-12 education
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies tailored for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills, incorporating sign language and other assistive technologies as needed
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, audiologists, and classroom teachers
