About the role
Responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with department protocols. This position assists physicians with interventional procedures such as transesophageal and stress echocardiograms. This role ensures knowledge and execution of all applicable departmental processes, and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Performs routine and complex studies, in addition to assisting with a variety of imaging procedures. Consistently obtains the highest quality scans possible in relation to patient body habitus. Adapts procedure to each patients medical situation obtaining all available necessary information for proper interpretation. Enters testing conditions, observations, test results, and patient demographic information into patient records. Communicates abnormal findings to the reading physicians and notifies the physicians of procedures to be interpreted. Qualifications The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed: Associate Required Some relevant Work Experience [Required] Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] AND Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required] AND Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
