The value you will bring to the team: Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results Serves as a resource and addresses complex tests/procedures Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices Leads quality control and quality assurance testing Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned Assists with department orientation and trains medical laboratory staff Qualifications The expertise and experiences you will need to succeed: Associates degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or related field or equivalent education and training PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science, or related field One year of Clinical Lab experience Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Medical Technologist), or Medical Technologist (American Associate of Bioanalyst) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens and interprets data.
- Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results
- Serves as a resource and addresses complex tests/procedures
- Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices
- Leads quality control and quality assurance testing
- Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned
- Assists with department orientation and trains medical laboratory staff
Requirements
- Associates degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or related field or equivalent education and training
- One year of Clinical Lab experience
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Medical Technologist), or Medical Technologist (American Associate of Bioanalyst)
