About the role

The Sex Offender Treatment Therapist will provide sex offender treatment to adults confined at Monroe Correctional Complex.

Responsibilities

  • Treats an assigned caseload of adult sex offenders with low cognitive abilities and/or mental health related responsivity needs.
  • Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions for assigned group members.
  • Complete documentation within established time-frames to include agency approved assessment (at intake and discharge), Intuitional Treatment Plans, progress notes and a comprehensive Mid-Treatment Review/Transition Summary for external distribution.

Requirements

  • Obtain/maintain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential per RCW 18.19.030 within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of experience providing structured individual and/or group psychotherapy guided by a treatment plan to juvenile or adult populations.
  • Three years of mental/behavioral health experience with a minimum of six months of providing psychotherapy in a group setting guided by a treatment plan.
