Responsibilities
- Plan, assign and review the work of staff.
- Evaluate and verify application materials to ensure that they are complete and meet the requirements of the process.
- Ensure employees are meeting productivity standards and accuracy are within the defined error rate.
- Manage customer service activities.
- Write departmental procedures, develop training plans and provide technical assistance to customer service staff.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of customer service experience involving public contact providing products and services, and/or explaining rules and regulations to customers.
- Up to two (2) years of relevant education may substitute year for year for experience.
- Experience must include two (2) years of experience interpreting and explaining rules, RCWs/WACS, policies and or procedures; must include the frequent application of techniques to ensure professionalism and mutual understanding.
- Experience leading or supervising a team which could include; interviewing, hiring, assigning and/or reviewing work, leading, mentoring, or coaching staff for personal and professional growth, setting expectations performance, or corrective action, and identifying training needs.
- Technical working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders, individuals, and groups, responding to their questions and concerns.
- The ability to understand and follow agency values of respect, trust, diversity, equity and inclusion through behaviors and decisions.
