Instructional Assistant

A dedicated and compassionate School Paraprofessional position is available supporting K-12 students in a Joliet, IL school district on a contract basis for the current school year.

• Assisting teachers with implementing classroom instruction and activities
• Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students as directed
• Supporting students with behavioral and social-emotional needs
• Assisting with daily living skills or mobility as necessary
• Documenting and reporting student progress to supervising staff
• Creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Illinois ISBE Para Educator License or willingness to obtain prior to start date
• Previous experience working in a school or childcare setting preferred
