Software Developer III, Cloud Healthcare and Life Sciences
About the role
Google Cloud provides the engine to transform global healthcare, and clinical data is its fuel. Our team is dedicated to solving the fragmentation and lack of interoperability that often prevent this data from driving innovation. We build solutions that make healthcare data interoperable, using natural language processing and machine learning for healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities
- Write a product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Javascript), or 1 year of experience with a Master’s or PhD degree.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Certifications in Cloud Platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience with programming in Golang or C++.
- Experience in developing with cloud-based Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
