Principal Risk Specialist

As a Principal Associate in Capital One’s Retail Bank’s Risk Office, you will apply your risk management, analytical and delivery skills to our profile risk mitigation programs.

• Provide risk guidance and expertise to drive Business Continuity Management and Resilience efforts across Retail Bank
• Support all facets of Business Continuity activities to gain assurance that resilient strategies are in place and adequately tested
• Execute and help mature Retail Bank’s business continuity and resilience programs through the identification of process improvements that result in efficiencies and sustainability
• Assist with the identification, tracking and mitigation/remediation of all aspects of Business Continuity & Resilience Management through controls, risks and issues
• Collaboratively partner with other Line of Business Risk offices, 2nd Line Risk Management functions and other appropriate stakeholders and partners to identify and mitigate business continuity risk and drive results
• Assist with development, delivery, and support of data analytics regarding Retail Bank’s risk management practices, outcomes and trends to drive action
• Managing multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
• Provide Audit and Exam management support

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of risk management or compliance experience
• At least 2 years of Business Continuity or Technical experience
• At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal clients around problem solving
• At least 2 years of Project Management experience
• At least 1 year of experience using Google Suite products
