Senior Accountant - Operational Accounting

Responsible for preparation, review and/or reporting of operational accounting activities, including revenues (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), derivatives (ASC 815), and crude oil inventory in accordance with US GAAP.

• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities related to commercial accounting areas, including revenues, leases and derivatives
• Drafting and completion of assigned areas within 10-K/Q and other internal and external financial reporting processes
• Assist internal audit with controls testing and external auditors with annual audit
• Analyze complex transactions, trading activities, and accounting issues as needed in fast-paced, public company environment
• Communicate and explain complex matters on a regular on impromptu basis with senior management

• Degree in accounting or related field
• CPA (or candidate) preferred but not required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience (public or industry) or similar energy industry experience is required
• Experience with Oracle and/or Right Angle a plus
