About the role
The Personal Trainer is responsible for providing safe and effective individual fitness and exercise programs for Wellness Center members of all ages and degrees of health. Assists in the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of all health fitness and other health promotion services/events to achieve desirable health outcomes. Responsible for conducting member fitness assessments and consultations, supervising/assisting with all workouts in the fitness area, and teaching exercise classes as needed. Provides support for daily facility/exercise equipment cleanliness and maintenance. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you'll bring to the team: Obtains new clients by counseling members regarding their personal fitness goals, objectives, and work outs May conduct new member/client assessments and prescribe exercises to help them reach their personal fitness goals Is responsible for assisting members, guests and clients in health, fitness, aerobic and weight training helping them to meet their individual goals so they will maintain their membership and continue to promote a positive image for the club May perform re-assessments and adjust workout routines to meet individual needs May take blood pressures at members'/client's requests Demonstrates and takes members through workout, identifying the correct and safe way to use the equipment for maximum benefit.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: High School Grad or Equiv 0 years experience Basic Life Support - CPR Cert Certification from a nationally recognized accredited body (required) Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree One year of relevant experience One year of customer service experience One year of Sales related experience
