About the role

Responsible for preparation of quality food for patients, associates and customers using standardized Morrison recipes and production sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patient and retail menu items on production sheets, in accordance with forecasted and/or tallied quantities, following established recipes at all times.
  • Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
  • Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
  • Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
  • Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use
  • Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas.
  • Assists Production Manager in taking inventory as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in health care food service or restaurants in food production.
  • Creativity in food preparation and service.
  • Basic knowledge of modified diets
  • Flexibility in scheduling of hours.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
