Location: AH Palm Coast HHA Hospice 150 Memorial Medical Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32164 and AH Fish 1055 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763 (Covering both facilities but primarily Palm Coast) The role you'll contribute: The Registered Nurse Inpatient unit provides skilled professional nursing care and support to the hospice patient and family, including non-related caregivers, as ordered by the physician and in compliance with regulations and standards identified by the Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation, Florida Nurse Practice Act, and the National Hospices and Palliative Care Organization. Working as part of the interdisciplinary team, the Hospice Registered Nurse provides medical nursing care to alleviate physical suffering, and must also assess for and identify resources to help ease emotional and spiritual suffering of hospice patients/families. The Registered Nurse Inpatient Unit assumes responsibility for implementing the patient's plan of care in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team. The Registered Nurse Inpatient unit exhibits good stewardship of organizational resources, including financial and human resources. The RN Inpatient unit can be scheduled in any 3 of the inpatient units. The value you'll bring to the team: Assesses and reassesses patient needs regularly to provide appropriate care. Educates patients and families on plan of care and any changes to it. Delivers critical nursing care to patients with complex health issues. Manages end-of-life care issues with sensitivity and professionalism. Administers and manages medications accurately and safely. Maintains accurate and thorough documentation per Medicare guidelines. The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: Associate's of Nursing Active American Heart Association BLS Registered Nurse State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's of Nursing 2 years critical care nursing 1 year acute or hospice care experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.

Requirements

  • Associate's of Nursing
  • Active American Heart Association BLS
  • Registered Nurse
  • State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
  • Bachelor's of Nursing
  • 2 years critical care nursing
  • 1 year acute or hospice care experience
