Dental Hygienist 2

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Dental Hygienist 2 to provide dental health services to system-involved youth at Echo Glen Children's Center.

• Record health histories
• Take digital x-rays and dental photos
• Complete intraoral inspections, including supra and subgingival scaling and root planning
• Apply topical fluorides and fluoride varnish
• Apply and adjust fissure sealants
• Triage Resident emergency and Urgent care through consultation with the Dentist or other contracted dental specialists
• Provide patient education in oral hygiene, diet for dental health, and disease prevention to individual Residents and campus-wide
• Schedule and coordinate all off-campus consultations and dental appointments
• Schedule dental equipment repair services
• Support the flow and maintenance of dental records

• A valid Washington State Dental Hygienist license
• Two years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
• The ability to take action to learn and grow
