About the role
The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Dental Hygienist 2 to provide dental health services to system-involved youth at Echo Glen Children's Center.
Responsibilities
- Record health histories
- Take digital x-rays and dental photos
- Complete intraoral inspections, including supra and subgingival scaling and root planning
- Apply topical fluorides and fluoride varnish
- Apply and adjust fissure sealants
- Triage Resident emergency and Urgent care through consultation with the Dentist or other contracted dental specialists
- Provide patient education in oral hygiene, diet for dental health, and disease prevention to individual Residents and campus-wide
- Schedule and coordinate all off-campus consultations and dental appointments
- Schedule dental equipment repair services
- Support the flow and maintenance of dental records
Requirements
- A valid Washington State Dental Hygienist license
- Two years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- The ability to take action to learn and grow
- The ability to take action to meet the needs of others
