Paraprofessional

A full-time paraprofessional role is available to support an elementary school speech-language pathologist during a full semester contract in Edgewood, MD. This position offers an opportunity to provide direct assistance within an elementary caseload, contributing to the success and development of young learners.

• Assist the speech-language pathologist in delivering services to elementary students
• Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by working closely with students who require speech and language interventions
• Implement therapeutic activities designed to improve communication skills
• Monitor student progress and document observations as directed
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to create a positive learning environment
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures

• Experience as a paraprofessional, ideally in a school environment
• Knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques and terminology preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse learning needs
• Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student growth
