Applied Scientist - Copilot Pages and Notebooks

Apply to join the Copilot Pages and Notebooks Ecosystem (CoPANE) team and shape the future applications of AI and empower millions of users to unlock their full potential

• Deliver quality AI scenarios for the Pages and Notebooks modules in M365 Copilot
• Work with other Applied Scientists to design and implement AI-powered experiences
• Measure the impact of models
• Collaborate with different product teams and shipping products globally
• Gain knowledge in one or more subareas of research and understand applicable research techniques
• Develop an understanding of methods used in the community and gain skills in a deeply specialized area
• Support mentorship and assist with the onboarding of early in-career team members
• Maintain ties with an external network of peers and identify prospective talent
• Document work in progress and share findings to promote innovation within a group
• Learn and follow ethics and privacy policies while executing research processes or collecting information

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years related experience
• Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience
• Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years experience in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and/or statistics
• 2+ years experience in Python and familiarity with coding in multiple languages
