About the role

The Calibration Technician plays a crucial role in an aerospace MRO facility for a major airline, with a focus on the inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and calibration of various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and adjustment of tools and equipment
  • Interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Utilizing test equipment and TMDE
  • Maintaining current knowledge of physical equipment and measurement techniques
  • Performing calibration, repair, and adjustment in the laboratory or in-place
  • Interpreting and utilizing NIST and/or ISO reports and corrections
  • Maintaining accurate calibration practices
  • Performing accreditation testing on standards and artifacts
  • Identifying instruments that can no longer be maintained
  • Troubleshooting instrument problems
  • Performing liaison with Company and/or vendor personnel

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, composites, and pneumatic disciplines
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug test
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to comprehend and apply technical information
  • Ability to meet physical requirements
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
