About the role
The Calibration Technician plays a crucial role in an aerospace MRO facility for a major airline, with a focus on the inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and calibration of various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and adjustment of tools and equipment
- Interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Utilizing test equipment and TMDE
- Maintaining current knowledge of physical equipment and measurement techniques
- Performing calibration, repair, and adjustment in the laboratory or in-place
- Interpreting and utilizing NIST and/or ISO reports and corrections
- Maintaining accurate calibration practices
- Performing accreditation testing on standards and artifacts
- Identifying instruments that can no longer be maintained
- Troubleshooting instrument problems
- Performing liaison with Company and/or vendor personnel
Requirements
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, composites, and pneumatic disciplines
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug test
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend and apply technical information
- Ability to meet physical requirements
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
