About the role
A specialized role is available for an Interventional Radiology Technologist in a hybrid operating room setting, working a full 40-hour weekday schedule with additional call responsibilities including weekends and one night shift per week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms before and after procedures, ensuring cleanliness and availability of supplies
- Review patient history, educate patients regarding their exams, and confirm proper patient identification
- Administer contrast agents under physician supervision following established protocols
- Perform pain assessments and respond accordingly
- Accurately code procedures for billing purposes using the current CPT system and update charges in Epic and PACS
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to support procedural efficiency and patient safety
- Adhere to department and organizational standards with flexibility to undertake additional duties as necessary
Requirements
- Valid North Dakota Medical Imaging License issued by the state's Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in interventional radiology imaging techniques and knowledge of procedural protocols
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in patient safety and coding accuracy
- Effective communication skills to educate and support patients throughout their care
