COTA in Middletown, NY

Seeking a Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a K-12 school setting located in Middletown, NY. This contract opportunity spans the current school year, offering 2-3 days per week with flexible hours ranging from 4 to 21 weekly. The role includes direct collaboration with an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) on site who will provide supervision and guidance.

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an OTR.
• Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students’ functional skills and participation in school activities.
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team, educators, and families.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate therapy materials and settings to facilitate therapeutic interventions.

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Experience working in school-based environments, preferably with K-12 populations.
• Ability to follow directives from the supervising OTR and adhere to professional practice standards.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to supporting students’ educational goals.
