About the role
The Occupational Therapist provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with the Florida Occupational Therapy Association standards and pursuant to the Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 468.203 (3): Occupational Therapist means a person licensed to practice occupational therapy as defined in this act and whose license is in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Provides self-directed, effective therapy to patients in accordance with the Florida Occupational Therapy Association standards and pursuant to the Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 468.203 (3): Occupational Therapist means a person licensed to practice occupational therapy as defined in this act and whose license is in good standing.
- Evaluation: Collection of comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or situation; Performs consults as indicated.
- Re-Evaluation: Performs assessments as indicated due to changes in patients medical condition that will alter the OT treatment plan previously determined.
- Reassessment: Evaluates progress toward attainment of expected outcomes.
- Treatment Plan: Analyzes the assessment data to determine course of treatment.
- Goal Setting: Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
- Planning: The patients plan of care is developed to attain expected outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a specific degree/major in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Florida Occupational Therapy license.
- Current BLS from American Heart Association.
