Social Worker

A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker to support K-12 students in a school environment located in Flint, MI. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on students' emotional and social well-being.

• Deliver individual and group social work services to support students’ mental health and social development
• Collaborate with school personnel and families to identify and address student needs
• Develop and implement care plans to promote student success both academically and personally
• Manage confidential records and ensure compliance with school policies and legal requirements
• Facilitate referrals to external agencies and monitor ongoing services

• Experience working as a Social Worker within school settings, ideally serving K-12 populations
• Strong understanding of the challenges students face and the ability to develop effective intervention plans
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with students, families, teachers, and support staff
• Ability to conduct assessments, provide counseling, and connect students with community resources
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to student welfare and education
