About the role
The Transponder Specialist will support the weigh station electronic screening (e-screening) system, which enhances safety, efficiency, and environmental sustainability by helping identify safe and legal carriers and reducing unnecessary stops at weigh stations.
Responsibilities
- Collect, summarize, and validate data in the Commercial Vehicle Information Exchange Window (CVIEW) to be used by law enforcement, federal agencies, and others.
- Assist customers and analyze specific problems by researching various databases to determine and resolve issues.
- Assist diverse customers via phone, orally and in writing, regarding inquiries, complaints, policies, and procedures.
- Add/update vehicle and transponder information into the CVIEW database.
- Validate user information in the Web application.
- Research and analyze transportation data by investigating problems.
- Prepare presentations and provide training to carriers and governmental agencies.
- Explain the use and best practices of a weigh station bypass transponder to the general public and representatives from various companies.
- Verify all required information is submitted by the customer.
- Compare funds deposited with application, ensuring the correct number of transponders are mailed.
- Develop and update a sales log to ensure transponder inventory is accurately maintained.
- Validate and process Public Disclosure Requests (PDR) for scale crossing data and intelligent transportation systems to ensure compliance.
- Process and monitor user requests for access to the web applications portal.
