About the role

The Analytics Leader collaborates with front-line operators, strategy teams, divisional leadership, finance, technology, and analytic professionals to develop business cases and measurement plans for the most essential strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and vet business cases for IT Capital & AI/ML development to maximize Ops Beyond 100 value capture across all digital projects
  • Understand the business operation and how the data represents performance or process
  • Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models, and project development
  • Use descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytical techniques to highlight business challenges, potential solutions, and relevant tradeoffs
  • Leverage emerging technologies and identify efficient and meaningful ways to communicate data and analysis in order to satisfy divisional needs
  • Develop and improve automated reports, analyses, or dashboards to support senior divisional leaders and the front-line employees
  • Maintain productive ways of working across cross-functional teams of technology SME’s, Ops analytics professionals, and business end users to maximize impact
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders across project portfolio

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Analytics, Decision Science, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative field
  • Successful candidates will have familiarity and/or experience with some or all of the following: SQL, PowerBI, Python, AWS or other database interface tools and languages
  • Strong experience with PowerBI and/or other data visualization tools
  • Ability to write complex queries, joining data from multiple sources and working with large, messy datasets, to arrive at operational insights
  • Highly proficient and detail-oriented in oral and written communications, and able to deliver complex analytical narratives to senior leader audiences
  • Strong airline/ops business acumen and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver on many projects at once within strict deadlines
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and a change agent
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
