About the role
The Staff Psychologist will serve Eastern Washington, based in Spokane, WA. The candidate of choice will join a close knit and collaborative team of Staff Psychologists serving the needs of all DOC employees throughout the state.
Responsibilities
- Establish a presence throughout their assigned region
- Provide meaningful consultation to all regionally-based DOC staff
- Lead a team of 20-30 peer support staff
- Respond to facility and individual crises
- Develop, and present psycho-educational materials
- Teambuilding
- Pre-employment psychological assessments
- Mediation
- Staff advocacy
- Research projects
- Promote staff wellbeing
Requirements
- Completion of a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Valid State of Washington License as a Psychologist
- Completion of a doctoral program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or meets the requirements of WAC 246-924-046
