About the role

The Staff Psychologist will serve Eastern Washington, based in Spokane, WA. The candidate of choice will join a close knit and collaborative team of Staff Psychologists serving the needs of all DOC employees throughout the state.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a presence throughout their assigned region
  • Provide meaningful consultation to all regionally-based DOC staff
  • Lead a team of 20-30 peer support staff
  • Respond to facility and individual crises
  • Develop, and present psycho-educational materials
  • Teambuilding
  • Pre-employment psychological assessments
  • Mediation
  • Staff advocacy
  • Research projects
  • Promote staff wellbeing

Requirements

  • Completion of a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Valid State of Washington License as a Psychologist
  • Completion of a doctoral program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or meets the requirements of WAC 246-924-046
