Job Title: Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) Location: Olympia, WA Closes: Monday, October 06, 2025 Salary: $117,924.00 - $193,248.00 Yearly. The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for youth residing in a Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MOUD assessments to establish a diagnosis and implement appropriate treatment.
  • Review and interpret substance use disorder assessments and progress notes to inform treatment planning.
  • Interview JR youth to assess need and readiness for MOUD services.
  • Administer and document injectable medications used in the treatment of opioid use disorder.
  • Conduct scheduled reassessments of youth receiving treatment for substance use disorder.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation on the use of medications for opioid use disorder within treatment settings.
  • Participate in discharge and reentry planning to ensure continuity of care post-release, coordinate with pharmacy, health staff, and living unit staff.
  • Travel to JR secure facilities and community facilities as needed to perform MOUD services.

Requirements

  • An active, unrestricted license in Washington State as a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
  • DEA registration with authority to prescribe buprenorphine (X-waiver no longer required) with experience providing MOUD treatment, ideally to adolescent or justice-involved populations.
