PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN)

Providing specialized nursing care in a dynamic step-down unit requires focus, expertise, and adaptability. The role involves caring for patients transitioning from intensive care who still need close observation and skilled nursing interventions.

• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with policies

• Current RN licensure and Step-Down unit experience strongly preferred
• Ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
