About the role
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures
Responsibilities
- Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation
- Provide technical support as needed
- Respond rapidly to the need for the initiation, maintenance or troubleshooting of all cardiac systems in the OR, ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, EP, IR, and ER
- Assist with the transport of patients receiving support and procedures away from the patient’s room
- Maintain cleanliness and storage of all equipment
- Completes departmental documentation for record keeping and patient charges
- Communicates with the Manager or Coordinator all critical department activities to allow for the proper coordination of activities and personnel resources
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree upon hire
- Medical Radiographer: KY upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT upon hire
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI upon hire or; Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire or; Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon hire or; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire and; Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
