About the role

Control Technician - Lacey Construction Shop - Permanent - 2025-07736

Responsibilities

  • Hatchery Water Alarm Systems: Perform construction, installation, relocation, maintenance and repair of water alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot alarm system issues to determine which fixtures are causing the temporary failure of the system.
  • Test alarm systems to ensure that it functions as anticipated.
  • Install piping and pull wire to floats, float switches, and probes.
  • Existing Alarm System Upgrades/Relocations: Perform pre- and post-installation testing to ensure design operates as anticipated.
  • Read and interpret control and wiring diagrams.
  • General Labor on Construction and Maintenance Projects: Perform various general manual labors that support various trades such as electricians, carpenters, equipment operators, welders, and mechanics.

Requirements

  • Completion of a two (2) year approved institution course as a Control Technician Trainee.
  • Four (4) years of applicable experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
  • Vocational trade school training in control mechanisms.
