About the role
StreamLabs Water Inc., a leader in smart water monitoring and leak detection solutions, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager - CI to join our team. This role focuses on acquiring new local and regional accounts, building trusted relationships with key decision-makers, and driving the growth of our innovative water management products and services.
Responsibilities
- Focus on acquiring CI accounts to promote and sell StreamLabs Water Inc.’s smart water monitoring and leak detection solutions.
 - Establish and nurture trusted relationships with key decision-makers within CI, including underwriters, risk engineers, and key practice areas (e.g., Builders Risk, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Retail, etc.).
 - Meet with customers to discuss their water management needs, gather feedback, and communicate the value of StreamLabs’ products, services, and solutions.
 - Build an in-depth understanding of customers’ organizations, sustainability goals, and operational challenges to better address their needs.
 - Gather and document information about customers’ key leaders/decision-makers, including their roles, perspectives, and decision-making styles.
 - Develop and manage dynamic branch- and regional-level account plans
 - Identify and quantify sales opportunities within the territory, prioritizing efforts based on likelihood of success and alignment with company goals.
 - Analyze past sales reports and customer data to determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and translate learnings into actionable strategies.
 - Utilize CRM tools and other resources to identify potential customers and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
 - Evaluate sales performance to identify strong and weak accounts, adjusting strategies to maximize growth opportunities.
 - Identify signals that customers may need additional products or services, such as leak detection systems, water usage analytics, or remote monitoring solutions, and navigate internal channels to address these needs.
 - Help customers explore and understand their broader water management challenges, recommending tailored solutions that align with their sustainability and operational goals.
 - Support the interpretation of data to assess the performance of StreamLabs’ products and services against customer expectations.
 - Collaborate with internal teams, including product development and customer support, to create key performance indicators (KPIs) and use dashboards to monitor and assess team performance.
 - Develop a deep understanding of the water technology industry, including market trends, sustainability initiatives, and competitive dynamics.
 - Gather and analyze data on competitors’ products, services, pricing, and marketing strategies to position StreamLabs as the preferred solution provider.
 - Build a broad understanding of water management products and their applications, distinguishing the pros, cons, and implications of various options for customers.
 - Assist customers in understanding StreamLabs Water Inc.’s standard contracts, terms, and conditions.
 - Partner with legal resources to develop appropriate contract terms for straightforward agreements.
 - Seek guidance from senior staff to negotiate short-term or simple contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer needs.
 - Actively listen to customers and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding.
 - Use non-verbal cues and body language to demonstrate attentiveness and interest during interactions.
 - Offer alternatives and suggestions to address differences and find common ground in negotiations.
 - Collaborate within the team to resolve issues, influence outcomes, and achieve shared goals.
 - Participate in industry associations, trade shows, and networking opportunities to meet new prospects and expand professional connections.
 - Stay informed about industry issues, trends, and challenges, including advancements in water monitoring technology, to better serve customers and identify opportunities.
 
Requirements
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with a focus on the commercial and industrial water management sector.

 - Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
