Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide maternity leave coverage from late October 2025 through June 5, 2026. The SLPA will support students across three school sites within our district, collaborating closely with supervising SLPs and special education teams to deliver high-quality speech and language services.

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising SLP
• Assist with documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
• Travel between 3 school sites (all located within reasonable distance in San Jose)
• Support with materials preparation and clerical duties as needed

• Current California SLPA license (required)
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Reliable transportation to travel between school sites

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• 7 hours per day, Monday–Friday schedule
• W-2 or 1099 options available depending on candidate preference
