Chief of Staff | Microsoft Careers

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and carry out the rhythm of business (ROB), while also driving business strategy initiatives.
  • Partner with organizational leadership to lead strategy execution, while overseeing alignment across groups.
  • Provide leadership support by ensuring business activities are aligned with their goals.
  • Drive team culture by getting a pulse on organizational health and leading cultural initiatives.
  • Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet changing business requirements and manage complex business needs.
  • Lead executive-level communication with a variety of internal audiences.
  • Directs external communications for customer/partner engagements and speaking engagements to ensure successful and impactful use of communications strategy, including key customer executives.
  • Focus on improving employee engagement to drive impactful internal and external comms, messaging, content for team meetings, all-hands and other events.
  • Facilitate executive engagement with customers, business partners, suppliers, ensuring the right level of involvement of leaders in key meetings, communications and events.
  • Partner with finance to appropriately budget and lead resource planning to provide visibility and additional level of details within the organization and drive budget accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related roles
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Prior Chief of Staff experience supporting executive leadership and scaling an organization
