Job Summary The Administrative Director, Cardiology Services is responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and operational leadership of the Cardiology Services department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient utilization of resources. The Administrative Director collaborates with clinical leaders, physicians, and administrative staff to drive excellence in cardiology services, enhance patient satisfaction, and achieve departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements strategic plans for Cardiology Services in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals.
- Monitors industry trends and advancements in cardiology to inform service development and innovation.
- Oversees daily operations of the Cardiology Services department, including outpatient clinics, diagnostic testing, and interventional procedures.
- Ensures effective utilization of resources, including staffing, equipment, and facilities.
- Develops and manages the department’s budget, ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds targets.
- Monitors revenue, expenses, and financial metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including Joint Commission standards.
- Implements and monitors quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises department staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
- Collaborates with clinical leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Develops and implements programs to enhance patient satisfaction and experience within Cardiology Services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or Eight (8) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in closely related field with Bachelor's degree required
- 5-7 years of previous leadership experience preferred
