About the role
An Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for profitability studies, portfolio deep dives, working with underwriters on large account pricing, and pricing model development & enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to determine loss and expense reserve adequacy using actuarial techniques.
- Evaluate the appropriate IBNR to be booked each quarter, prepare Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
- Conduct research, experience studies and other more complex actuarial analysis, develop, review, and analyze changes and improvements to actuarial procedures.
- Optimize processes to meet business needs.
- Assist production of the Schedule P and other reports or exhibits for GAAP and Statutory financials.
- Complete project independently with some supervision.
Requirements
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area preferred.
- Required 2+ actuarial exams.
- 2 or more years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C)
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages strongly preferred.
