About the role

The Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (GME&E) team is driving marketing transformation across Microsoft’s largest and fastest-growing commercial cloud businesses. We are seeking a culturally fluent and highly curious Senior Social Audience Strategist to dive deep into our commercial audiences and online product communities.

Responsibilities

  • Mine comments, analyze data, and hunt for patterns across the Internet to inform creative opportunities.
  • Represent community perspectives in campaign briefings, unlocking new creative opportunities.
  • Guide creative teams and agency partners in developing high-quality, social-native content for editorial and tentpole campaigns.
  • Connect social insights to organizational and business objectives across customer solution areas.
  • Monitor cultural trends, competitor activity, and social innovation, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Drive internal alignment through storytelling, stakeholder education, and regular insight sharing across marketing and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media strategy, integrated marketing, or content development OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing social media programs, ideally for business to business or technology brands.
  • 3+ years of experience managing social channels in a corporate or agency setting, with experience briefing creative and managing editorial calendars.
