About the role

Benefits, description, and responsibilities of the DSHS FTAA Electrician position

Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair wiring/cables, connections, distribution/instrument panels, and circuits
  • Install, adjust, inspect, and maintain electric motors and equipment
  • Replace bearings and motor or generator parts, and perform emergency generator testing
  • Operate equipment and machines
  • Contact vendors and suppliers concerning equipment, materials, and parts

Requirements

  • Current Washington State EL01 license and one year of experience as a journey-level certified electrician
  • Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the electrical trade
  • Ability to work from blueprints, plans, and sketches
  • Ability to estimate materials and time needed to complete jobs
