Cook 1, On-Call, Walla Walla Veterans Home

Serve those who served - bring your culinary skills to our Walla Walla Veterans Home and make every meal a moment of care and comfort!

• Prepare meals for resident Veterans and distribute these meals in a safe and sanitary manner
• Assure that preferences and therapeutic diets are adhered to when reasonably possible
• Monitor all food items prepared for acceptable quality and report needs for modification to recipes or production methods when necessary

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Washington state food worker card
• Minimum of twelve (12) months of experience in large-scale food preparation of cooking

• Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care
• Supplement Basic Shift Premium
• Basic life and long-term disability insurance
