About the role
This virtual school psychologist role requires 37.5 hours per week supporting a caseload of 50-60 students across elementary through high school grades.
Responsibilities
- Conducting psychoeducational evaluations to determine special education eligibility
- Administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
- Writing comprehensive evaluation reports with educational recommendations
- Providing individual and group counseling services addressing student mental health needs
- Consulting with teachers and parents regarding student behavior, learning strategies, and intervention plans
- Providing crisis intervention support and developing safety plans when needed
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintaining bilingual communication with Spanish-speaking families
Requirements
- New Mexico Level III School Psychologist licensure
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing)
- Master's degree or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Minimum of 2 years providing psychological services in educational settings
- Virtual service delivery experience preferred
