Will work some weekends if patient care is needed. Location: 601 East Rollins Street Orlando, FL The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Orlando Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The role you'll contribute: Responsible for participating in adoptive cellular therapy treatments, including processing progenitor stem cell and immunotherapy products for patient use. This position follows safety policies, including PPE use, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling. Additionally, this role adheres to the Chemical Hygiene plan and Infection Control policies. In addition, this position collaborates with the Cellular Therapy Manager and Principal Investigators to execute procedures for clinical trials and develop new analytic techniques and quality control metrics. Responsibilities for this role include completing a six-month training program covering various aspects of cellular therapy, such as hematopoiesis, immunology, aseptic processing, and regulatory compliance. The value you'll bring to the team: Performs cellular product processing using multiple processing and separation techniques. Completes qualitative and quantitative assays on cell therapy products. Complies with standard operating procedures and policies incorporating cGTP, FDA, and FACT regulatory standards. Identifies problems that may adversely affect product or testing performance. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : Technical skills and aptitudes related to laboratory testing, procedures and processes performed in the department or work area assigned. [Required] Understanding good documentation practices and requirements. [Required] Exhibit interest and excitement in participating in the processing of cellular therapy products. [Required] Ability to work independently and adapt to varying priorities, including directing workflow with minimal supervision. [Required] Ability to operate computer systems to maintain patient documentation, testing records, and other related documents. [Required] Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals. Responsibilities
