About the role
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Remote Intervention Specialist to provide specialized instruction and support to K–12 students with disabilities across Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Provide virtual specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and Ohio academic standards.
- Develop, write, and implement IEPs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct virtual assessments and progress monitoring to inform instruction and IEP updates.
- Modify general education curriculum and provide accommodations to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and student support planning.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including service logs, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Use virtual learning tools and platforms to engage students and support learning.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Intensive, or K–12).
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of teaching experience with students who have disabilities (in-person or virtual).
- Familiarity with IDEA, IEP development, and specially designed instruction.
