About the role
The L&I Workers’ Compensation Adjudicator 6 (WCA6) – Penalty Unit Supervisor will supervise approximately 5-7 staff members, including adjudicators, a medical treatment adjudicator and support staff, acting as a subject matter expert in the resolution of complex or sensitive penalty and legal issues on claims and accounts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise penalty unit
- Assess and enforce compliance of Self-Insurance Employers (SIE) and Third Party Administrators (TPA)
- Act as subject matter expert in the resolution of complex or sensitive penalty and legal issues on claims and accounts
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Department of Labor and Industries Workers’ Compensation Adjudicator 2 Apprenticeship program
- One year of experience as a Workers’ Compensation Adjudicator 5
- Bachelor’s Degree AND Five (5) years of experience in adjudicating workers' or crime victims' compensation insurance claims
